International airports

London has a range of international airports which are easy to arrive to Stratford from. The three we recommend are London city airport, Stansted, and Heathrow. Other airports can get you to campus however the UK has a lot of airports, and it is recommended you go to one of the three.

London city airport

Located in east London it is a direct train from city airport to Stratford. When you reach Stratford underground station, please follow the directions found under the title shuttle bus.

Stansted

Stansted is the closet large airport to Staffordshire university London and from Stansted you can get a direct train into London which will take you to the main city. When you get there take one of the many lines which gets you to Stratford.

Heathrow

The biggest airport in London and many international flights only fly to Heathrow. Please be aware this airport is on the other side of London; however the Elizabeth Line and Heathrow Express are the main train operating companies running services between Heathrow Terminals 2 And 3 (Rail Station Only) and Stratford (London). There are 4 possible routes with the shortest and most direct being Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 (Rail Station Only) to Stratford (London).

Shuttle Bus

The shuttle bus runs from Stratford stations (Stratford Station/Stratford International station) every 10 minutes to campus. The campus is part of the Here East network and the bus is free to use. This bus operates from Stratford International bus stop F and Stratford City bus stop X, taking around 5 minutes to reach Here East.

  • Is Stratford in London? – Yes, there are two Stratford in the UK, please make sure you go to London Stratford not Stratford upon Avon. You may have a lovely time, but you will not be at the ERN conference.
